Understanding Our Progress Checklists

When supporting your child’s hobby, it can be difficult to measure their growth as a musician. This is especially true if you have little/no experience with music yourself.
So how can you follow your child’s progress? How can you support them, and how can you find out what they should be practising?

At Cadenza Tuition we use our studio designed Progress Checklists. One copy stays at the studio and the other stays with the student and should be brought to every lesson. Students should get into a habit of referring to this document throughout their home practice.

When using this document you can:
See an overview of a large portion of a method book
Check current assignments for home practice and follow progress as pieces are passed by the teacher
See review goals for technique and theory
Encourage your child as they move up the sub-levels within each method book
